About the Role
We’re looking for a senior operations research engineer to join our data science team to help us build powerful new features and products that will delight our airline customers. This role will report directly into our CSO.
You must be comfortable working independently as well collaboratively as we build out our product portfolio. Initially, the successful candidate will be responsible for working on our ground-breaking scheduling optimiser that is being used by airlines such as Ryanair.
Hands-on experience with Mathematical Optimization Software such as CPLEX or Gurobi
Hands on programming experience of discrete optimisation problems
Mixed integer and linear programming
Familiarity with metaheuristics - simulated annealing, ant colony optimization, tabu search
Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services, preferably AWS
Nice To Have
6+ years of applied experience in implementation of Operations Research / Mathematical Optimization applications in an industrial context
Experience creating user-friendly GUIs, reports, and data visualizations to facilitate the execution of data-driven optimization models and scenario comparisons by the end-user
Experience working in a remote team environment.
Think about systems and services and write high quality code. We work mostly in React and Java, built on AWS. However, we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework.
